SANTA MONICA, Calif., Sept. 13, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- As California continues to lead the nation in electric car sales, the 12th Annual AltCar Expo is returning to Santa Monica September 15-16 with new guest speakers, cars and exhibitors as alternative tech enthusiasts converge on the future of the industry. The two-day event is free to attend and brings together in one place a variety of brands, technology and manufacturers that are continuing the alternative fuel vehicle movement including electric, hydrogen fuel cell, hybrid and natural gas.
The AltCar schedule includes an Expo and Ride & Drive Fri-Sat from 10am – 5pm. Also on Friday is the Industry and Fleet Conference from 9am – 2:45pm (requires pre-registration).
At the Ride & Drives, guests will get a hands-on experience with a variety of vehicles and product specialists in one convenient location, and learn about rebates up to $10,000 from the government, new rebates from Edison and how these vehicles can and are working for so many drivers and fleets.
The Ride & Drive will include the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid, Chevrolet Bolt EV, Honda Clarity Electric, Kia Niro PHEV, Kia Niro Hybrid, Kia Soul EV, Nissan Rogue Hybrid, Toyota Mirai Fuel Cell, Toyota Prius Prime PHEV, and Volkswagen e-Golf. There will also be an area to test ride Breeze Bikes, Shimano STEPS-Bike and electric bikes.
Vehicles on display will include the BYD Electric Bus, Chevrolet Volt EV, CSE Hyundai Tuscon Fuel Cell, Honda Clarity Electric Fuel Cell, Honda Clarity PHEV, Kia Optima PHEV, Nissan Leaf EV and the TTSI NZ NG Drayage Truck.
