The Genomic Revolution to be Discussed at Personalized Health Care Conference in Phoenix

PHOENIX, Oct. 17, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Pulitzer Prize-winning author and renowned medical oncologist Siddhartha Mukherjee, MD, joins physicians from Harvard Medical School and Cleveland Clinic to discuss breakthroughs in personalized precision health care at the Personalized Lifestyle Medicine Institute (PLMI) 2016 Thought Leaders' Consortium conference. The event will be held on Saturday, October 22 through Sunday, October 23 at the Sheraton Grand at Wild Horse Pass, in Phoenix, Az. Dr. Mukherjee, assistant professor of medicine at Columbia University Medical Center and author of the recently released The Gene, and The Emperor of All Maladies: A Biography of Cancer, which was made into a PBS documentary, will speak about "Kinase Signaling, Insulin Dynamics, and Cancer."

Among the nearly 20 leaders in health care presenting will be: Patrick Hanaway, MD, and Mark Hyman, MD, of Cleveland Clinic Center for Functional Medicine; Charles Serhan, PhD, from Harvard Medical School; and Giselle Sholler, MD, MSC, of Helen DeVos Children's Hospital.
