POW! WOW! Long Beach Street Art Festival Returns To Long Beach, Calif., July 11 To 17
POW! WOW! Long Beach to feature large-scale mural installations by internationally renowned artists; events include exhibition opening at Long Beach Museum of Art

LONG BEACH, Calif., July 6, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- From July 11 to 17, POW! WOW! Long Beach returns to Long Beach, California, with a week-long celebration of culture, music and art, changing the face of the city with large-scale mural installations.  Inspired by Honolulu's POW! WOW! Hawaii and following on last year's successful inaugural event in Long Beach, the festival centers around internationally renowned artists who will complete a series of urban murals throughout the city.

Events throughout the week include artist talks at the Art Theatre of Long Beach with Luthuanian artist Ernest Zacharevic and New York City-based photographer Martha Cooper on Tuesday, July 12, and with New York-based, Hawaii native Sean "Hula" Yoro on Wednesday, July 13.  On Friday, July 15, the Long Beach Museum of Art debuts its latest exhibition Vitality & Verve: In The Third Dimension.  For more details on events, visit www.powwowlongbeach.com/schedule.

Centered around a week-long event in Hawaii, POW! WOW! Has grown into a global network of artists and organizes gallery shows, lecture series, schools for art and music, creative community spaces, concerts, and live art installations across the globe.  The inaugural POW!
