InMovement's complete line of Activated Workplace products will be available for trial in the Living Lab, including InMovement's Standing Desk, winner of the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design 2015 GOOD DESIGN™ Award. The showroom also houses the company's design studio and provides hands-on access to interactive prototypes.

With its Living Lab Grand Opening, InMovement also announces two new Activated Workplace products available for preorder during the show:

  • The InMovement Servo™ is an active seating solution that converts into an auxiliary standing-height work surface with the flip of a seat. This multi-purpose stool supports a range of healthy postures and encourages movement in a variety of workplace applications.
  • And, the InMovement Pivot Table™ makes standing meetings or collaborative workshops second nature, by offering a range of configurations that support fluidity and movement. The conference table's pivoting wings can also be repositioned to support standard arrangements like a board table, L-shape, Z-shape or box, allowing for greater choice of room formation.

"The work environment has evolved into a sedentary enabler and we continue to work longer hours than ever, leaving the workforce unhealthy and disengaged," said InMovement General Manager Dan Wille. "At InMovement, we asked ourselves, 'how can we integrate healthy behavior into the workday without hurting productivity?' Through this process, we created the Activated Workplace vision and a line of products that make the workplace default-active.  This Living Lab brings that vision to life, so that people can try it for themselves."

Located at 228 W. Kinzie Street, Chicago, Ill., InMovement will celebrate the grand opening of the Living Lab and welcome NeoCon attendees during a 'Sample the Movement Grand Opening Brunch' on Tuesday, June 14 from 11 a.m.1 p.m.

"We believe that we are at a cultural tipping point, where work policies and workplaces will apply active design principles to enable sustainable work culture," said Paul Siebert, director of design and innovation for InMovement. "We're pioneering the next generation way to work, integrating a wide range of movement, naturally, within the work process."

InMovement piloted its products and services for more than a year with Fortune 500 companies, law firms, small private businesses and wellness companies looking for new ways to incorporate movement into the workplace. Through its trials, InMovement has collected user feedback on the Productive Wellbeing approach that shows significant increases in energy and productivity, with reductions in stress, pain, discomfort and absenteeism. Employees who have participated in InMovement trials report increased job satisfaction and an influence on other healthy behaviors as a result of working differently.
