HIGH POINT, N.C., April 8, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The Interior Design Society (IDS) announced award recipients for its first annual charitable design competition – the #idsIMPACT Awards – on Friday, April 1. The awards were presented by Dann Foley during a gala concluding IDS National Conference at the Dallas Market Center.
Foley has appeared on NBC's "American Dream Builders" and Showtime's "The Real L Word." Aside from television and personal appearances, Foley works for clients throughout North America and Asia as he designs multiple home and lifestyle products with his licensing partners. He was joined on stage for the awards presentation by Snoa Garrigan, Executive Director of IDS.

Our God-given talents can be shared and by extending ourselves to our communities at large we make the world a better place. I am proud to have presented the first #idsIMPACT awards at this year's IDS National Conference."

#idsIMPACT is a community-engagement initiative of the Interior Design Society that was launched at 2015 IDS National Conference. Commitment to community is a core value of IDS. Beginning in 2016, IDS strongly encourages each member to report the number of hours per year provided in pro bono design services to benefit their community. The work can be of general benefit for the community such as a park or community center, or the work can be for a non-profit, religious, or other charitable cause.
