Education & Speakers Schedule for Chicago's Healthy & Natural Show, May 5-7, Now Available Online

CHICAGO, March 30, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The Midwest's largest natural, organic and healthy products tradeshow launches May 5-7, 2016, at Chicago's Navy Pier. Participants can now plan their show agenda by viewing the education and events calendar online.  With education geared toward clarifying confusion in the organic, natural and sustainable products marketplace, The Healthy & Natural Show is a must-attend event for anyone doing business in the natural products space. Headlining the educational program is Dr. Joseph Mercola, a wellness champion empowering tens of millions of subscribers to take control of their health.  He'll share invaluable information for retailers and manufacturers serving the burgeoning healthy lifestyle consumer market.

"We are excited to feature Dr. Mercola as part of a unique educational curriculum geared toward all retailers of natural and organic products," says Len Monheit, GM for William Reed, producer of the event.  "We're in an age where consumers have just as much access to information as those retailers with whom they shop.  We're going to newly empower our retail community by providing them an intimate show experience that leverages new information and gives them access to an exhibitor base filled with leaders and disrupters."

Featured speakers include noted journalists and industry experts Elaine Watson, Editor of FoodNavigator-USA, and Hank Schultz, Senior Correspondent for NutraIngredients-USA.  Watson leads a panel of experts to discuss how retailers are rapidly adapting to meet changing consumer needs during Innovate or Die: Navigating the Evolving Food Retail Landscape.  This session will focus on how online platforms such as Thrive Market and Blue Apron are changing the shopping experience—for better and for worse.

"New digital platforms are disrupting traditional distribution models, creating challenges and opportunities for brick-and-mortar retailers," says Watson. "Consumers now have so many more options when it comes to answering the question: What's for dinner tonight? The Healthy & Natural Show is a new forum to help retailers and emerging food brands explore how to stay ahead of the curve as the landscape changes, and how best to navigate the debate over 'natural', organic, non-GMO and 'free from' foods as consumers scrutinize food companies - and food labels - more closely than ever."

Other speakers include Gerry Hays, CEO Dinnercall; Joel Warady from Enjoy Life Foods; and Mike Bush, President, International Probiotics Association.
