GT Software to Exhibit at IBM InterConnect and Will Sponsor Customer Presentation on IMS-based Mobile Solution for Aircraft Maintenance
World's largest airline uses Ivory Solution to successfully "mobile enable" aircraft maintenance technicians

ATLANTA, Feb. 16, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- In addition to exhibiting its revolutionary software at the IBM InterConnect Conference in Las Vegas, GT Software is sponsoring a breakout session presentation by one of its customers, American Airlines, which is scheduled for 12:00 pm Wednesday, February 24th at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, North Section, in South Pacific Ballroom B.

American Airlines will share its recent success in improving operations utilizing GT Software's mobile enablement solution.  The presentation "American Airlines Streamlines Aircraft Maintenance with an IMS-Based Mobility Solution" will be given by Justin Kerchal, Manager of Application Development, and Dave Espe, Senior Object-Oriented Developer, at American Airlines.  They will describe how their company used GT Software's Ivory® Service Architect™ to build Web services and create a modern, mobile interface to help maintenance technicians in the field.

The Ivory Service Architect transforms application modernization by accessing and enabling data, processes, and transactions across mainframe, distributed, and cloud platforms through Web services and APIs.  This makes it easy for modern technologies to extend their reach to include mainframe data without changes to existing code or additional MIPS usage.

GT Software's exhibit at IBM InterConnect is located at Booth #250 within the Hybrid Integration section of the show floor.  Representatives from GT Software will share their experiences helping clients extend the value of their IT investment through agile development with an intuitive, robust integration layer that provides standards-based APIs, improved workflow, and enhanced efficiency across mainframe, distributed, and cloud platforms.

"We look forward to exhibiting at IBM InterConnect," says John Pratt, President & CEO of GT Software.  "In our discussions with industry professionals, we still find people with the misconception that accessing data and building new applications on a mainframe is a tedious or near-impossible process.  Our solutions make accessing legacy data easy by bringing all data together to achieve important goals such as mobile enablement, like our solution for American Airlines."

IBM InterConnect is IBM's "Premier Cloud & Mobile Conference" and will be held February 21-25 at the Mandalay Bay and MGM Grand hotels.  To learn more about GT Software and the Ivory Service Architect, please visit GT Software's booth (#250) or www.gtsoftware.com.
