SANS to Host CISO Hot Topic Series Panel Discussion at San Diego Cybersecurity Training Event
Real World CISOs Share How to be Successful when Speaking with Boards of Directors

BETHESDA, Md., Feb. 11, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- SANS Institute, the global leader in information security training, today announced the second session of its CISO Hot Topic Series which will serve as the keynote address at the SANS Security West 2016 Training Event in San Diego, April 29May 6. Industry CISOs will join John Pescatore, SANS' Director of Emerging Security Trends and Alan Paller, SANS' Founder and Research Director, for a panel discussion on how CISO's can communicate effectively with Boards of Directors and CEOs to improve cybersecurity.

Panel participants Gary Hayslip, CISO of the City of San Diego, Josh Davis, CISO of Qualcomm, and Jason Callahan, CISO of Illumina, will share first-hand experience about "What Works" and lessons learned when dealing with cyber threats.  Panel participants will also share their plans for dealing with the major cybersecurity challenges in their respective industries in the coming few years.
