The Company Dime Partners With Institute For Supply Management On New T&E Conference

BROOKLYN, N.Y. and TEMPE, Ariz., Feb. 2, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The Company Dime is teaming with Institute for Supply Management® on the association's T&E 2016 conference. To be held in Miami March 30-April 1, this new event will explore ways to bring sophistication and rigor to travel purchasing.

The conference will provide education for both procurement professionals taking on travel and travel professionals aligning with procurement. Three tracks of break-out sessions mirror the conference's tagline: "Equip, Empower, Execute: The Science of Travel." Attendees will consider best practices for effectively using T&E policies, data and metrics. They will join experts in discussions on corporate payment, supplier negotiations and duty of care.

With more to be confirmed, speakers include J.M. Huber Corp. senior director of global purchasing Brian Bender; MasterCard group head, global T&E products and solutions Richard Crum; Astellas senior manager of travel and expense Mary Alice Hansen; J.B. Poindexter & Co. VP of supply chain Matt Marthinson; FINRA manager of corporate travel services Carol McDowell; CAPS Research executive managing director Deb Stanton; and GoldSpring Consulting partner Mark Williams.

"Travel managers and buyers often tell us they're dissatisfied with sponsor-driven industry education," said Jay Campbell, Journalist and Co-Founder of TheCompanyDime.com. "In many cases, procurement professionals struggle to apply their expertise to the travel category. This conference will explore the science of travel, unraveling its mystery. We look forward to bringing the same independence and depth of thought that our subscribers value to an in-person forum that's fun and interactive."

The event includes an exhibition for suppliers, a presentation by Peter Greenberg of CBS News and a golf tournament.
