TOLLAND, Conn., Nov. 23, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Continuing its tradition of transforming processes in the fashion and apparel industry, Gerber Technology announced major new innovations at ideation2015. The announcements were the result of ongoing community feedback, technology trends and needs identified at past ideation events. When Gerber's CEO, Mike Elia, announced the new subscription based YuniquePLM In The Cloud, attendees cheered. "Cloud-based technology is one of the most important trends in the industry. We believe offering YuniquePLM In The Cloud at an affordable monthly rate will remove competitive barriers between large and small companies and empower our community of users to achieve optimum results," said Elia. "We are the first in the industry to offer an easy experience from trial to subscription and online learning."

YuniquePLM In The Cloud provides all the benefits of the company's V6.1 software, including the ability to generate and export user-created product and line report views, and increased functionality within the 3D file support module. In addition, YuniquePLM In The Cloud offers this flexible and scalable product lifecycle management software without the costly IT infrastructure, so it is a platform users of all sizes will be able to embrace. Test drive YuniquePLM In The Cloud at http://testdrive.yuniqueplm.com, or register for the service for a low monthly rate of $129.00.

In addition to a number of product announcements about the company's many digital solutions, ideation2015 was also a collaborative setting for developing the products of tomorrow. "ideation is about the industry, the technology and how quickly it's all changing," said Elia. "It's hard to keep up with all the technology advances in this fast-paced industry. This conference brings everything in the supply chain together, so our user community can see everything that's happening today and what is possible now and in the future. We enjoy engaging with our customers and continuing to lead the way in facilitating technology innovation and exploration."

The ideation2015 conference also featured panel discussions, hands-on workshops, demonstrations, case studies and networking opportunities. A keynote presentation from designer Tim Gunn highlighted the challenges of technology adoption he faced early in his career, which motivated him to expose young designers to the latest technologies today.

Young designers' talents were also showcased, from a fashion show of 3D printed garments from Israeli designer Danit Peleg, to a student fashion design competition using the vintage dresses from The Darnell Collection as inspiration.

Gerber announced next year's ideation2016 – September 28-30 in Miami, at the Ritz Carlton South Beach.
