BOSTON, Nov. 17, 2015 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- RCare, Inc. was recognized for innovation in the aging/technology industry at the November LeadingAge Annual Meeting in Boston. RCare competed with other firms for cash awards before a panel of industry experts in the "LeadingAge Idea Sharks" event hosted by the conference.
Judges evaluated each solution for innovation in the area of senior care. RCare's VP of US sales, Greg Meade, presented the company's wireless nurse call system, RCare Mobile. It features an smartphone-based handset for caregivers in senior living facilities which, in addition to allowing them to receive traditional nurse call notifications, can also track their time and activities at the point of care. RCare Mobile also increases staff efficiency with the "I Got It" feature, allowing a staff member to "own" a call, avoiding duplication of efforts and increasing caregiver staff accountability.

This is not the first time RCare has been recognized for innovation. Myron Kowal, founder and president of the firm, was recently interviewed on Empowered Patient Radio with host Karen Jagoda and has the most robust, comprehensive and technologically advanced nurse call platform in the long term care industry.
