TowerSec To Embed Automotive Cyber Security in Future Vehicles

COLOGNE, Germany, Nov. 10, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- With the growing sense of urgency as the vehicle ecosystem becomes more and more connected, the opportunity for hackers dramatically increases and the auto industry is integrating solutions.

That will be the major conversation at the 2015 escar Europe conference held in Cologne, Germany, November 11-12.

"Recent demonstrated attacks have shown that compromising a vehicle is a real and present danger," said Yuval Weisglass, chief technology officer of TowerSec. "What is needed is a comprehensive protection approach against wired and wireless attacks. That is exactly what our product line ECUSHIELD and TCUSHIELD offers the industry."

TowerSec, a global leader of automotive cyber security solutions, is among the escar conference sponsors and will present its ECUSHIELD and TCUSHIELD software solutions - the only tested and qualified on-board cyber security protection.

"During this year we have proven, with manufacturers and suppliers, ECUSHIELD and TCUSHIELD and their detection and mitigation capabilities," adds Weisglass.

Once integrated into a CAN-BUS accessible ECU or gateway, ECUSHIELD provides continuous monitoring while identifying new threats to the vehicle. TCUSHIELD can be integrated into telematics or infotainment systems. It monitors the internal and external communications, detects threats and mitigates them in real-time.

TowerSec products prevents malicious communication from reaching mission critical systems inside the vehicle that could put lives and personal data at risk.

"TowerSec is recognized as a leader in automotive cyber security and we are working closely with the manufacturers," said Weisglass. "TowerSec's products are the only proven, ready-to-embed onboard cyber-security solutions."
