The conference started with presentations by representatives of several of the different advisory models that Prospera has to offer. These sessions were followed by a panel where advisors were given the opportunity to listen to how some of the more custom models can complement each other and learn about which model might best fit their individual practice and client needs. Representing the joint panel were Corey Hoffstein of Newfound Research, Jeff Hays of Hays Advisory and Paul Keeton of Dorsey Wright.

Keynote topics included how to protect your business in terms of cybersecurity as well as an update from Washington on the DOL ruling. Kevin Whitehead of the Financial Services Institute was there to explain the ruling and give advisors a look at what is to come in the following months regarding the rule. Another notable presenter was Tom Dorsey, co-founder of Dorsey, Wright & Associates, who spoke about the benefits of building a dynamic business that is scalable to the advisor and explainable to the investing public. Closing out the conference was Brian Wesbury, Chief Economist at First Trust Advisors. Brian discussed the "four pillars of prosperity" that advisors can follow in order to be a successful investor no matter what the condition of the economy and markets.

In addition, Prospera held breakout sessions where advisors had the opportunity to meet in smaller groups to discuss product specific information with the sponsors. Advisors received valuable information that will benefit them in continuing their education and growing their practices. Breakout topics included how to develop an action plan for a small business, investing in real estate, marketing trends for 2016, and insurance products.

"I've been to too many conferences in my career that were days too long and mostly useless. I'm glad to say my time at the Prospera function was time well spent. Good speakers with relevant information, breakout sessions that almost always provided at least one item I could use in my practice. I'm looking forward to the next one!" – Richard Fennema, Ark Financial Management

"It was a great conference! Possibly the best Annual Conference that I have attended in all my years at any firm. I've attended every one at Prospera for the last 11 years, so I believe that is saying something. The content was superb and relevant and the time I was able to spend with other advisors was very valuable." – David Little, Little & Associates Wealth Management
